At The Logic of Eight, we believe that all businesses both big and small are responsible for achieving good environmental practice and operating in a sustainable manner.
We are therefore committed to reducing our environmental impact in a number of ways and are constantly looking at new ways to incorporate environmental policy into our business strategy and operating methods.
We work closely with suppliers who are committed to the Government's 4 R's policy for reducing waste: Reduce, Re-use, Repair & Recycle.
Beyond our own in-house recycling scheme for paper waste, cardboard, plastic packaging, batteries and toner cartridges, we actively source paper for printing that contains at least an element of recycled fibre (55% upwards).
All the recycled paper and packaging that we use has met stringent environmental specifications and are ECF or TCF (Elementally or Totally Chlorine) free which is the kindest way to bleach pulp.
We promote full colour printing which uses significantly less chemicals, solvents and paper wastage in setup and seek quality digital printing where appropriate. Going forward, we also aim to reduce our electrical wastage by seeking out more environmentally friendly electrical equipment.
All of our quotations, invoicing and proofing is done through email to reduce paper wastage. Large data transfers are completed electronically using selected file transfer systems to reduce the need for CD copying and all portfolio requests are also handled electronically. We do not send out print based portfolio catalogues to clients.
If you have any questions regarding our environmental policies or would like more information on the range of recycled paper stocks available, please contact us.
